Chieftains is a museum dedicated to Cherokee and Native American history in Northwest Georgia. This project was an overhaul of their previous website, which was a chore to update and needed a fresh facelift. The centerpiece of the site is a calendar of events that is easy to maintain and update; using a content management system, the Chieftains staff can enter new events that automatically archive once they are over. In addition to the calendar, the client wanted the homepage to prominently feature Major Ridge — the Cherokee chief who once lived at the site of the museum — as well as the hours and price for museum admission.
