I’m extremely susceptible to the power of suggestion, especially when it comes to food, so when I saw a post by Joy the Baker with a recipe for sugar cookie ice cream sandwiches, I became obsessed with making my own. I considered several different varieties of cookies and ice cream before I decided on Snickerdoodles and vanilla (Mayfield, of course).
Pretty web typography with the Google Font API
Google has recently released a tool to help make the typography in websites prettier. The Google Font API — currently in beta — is a super-easy, free way to incorporate non-standard fonts in a website, and still maintain accessibility and search-engine friendliness.
Twitter’s most entertaining
I follow more than 100 people on Twitter. Some are friends, some are celebrities, some are businesses and some defy description (I’m looking at you, S*** My Dad Says). There are several celebrities on the list, but they’re not all famous folks.
How did I not know about cake mix cookies?
I bake a lot, especially cookies. My specialty is butterscotch chip. So how did I make it 30 years into my life without knowing about cake mix cookies? I recently decided to start practicing what I preach, so for the past week or so, I’ve been working on converting my HTML files to a functional Wordpress theme.
